Senior Pastor
Pastor Charles has dedicated the majority of his life to serving others through education, ministry, and community engagement. His remarkable 52-year tenure with Portland Public Schools reflects a lifelong commitment to shaping and inspiring generations of students, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. In addition to his work in education, he has served alongside the Portland Police Department for more than 40 years and currently holds the respected role of sworn chaplain, providing spiritual guidance, support, and care to officers and the broader community.

Pastor Richard Hunter Sr.
Professionally, Pastor Richard has built a diverse and impactful career marked by adaptability, dedication, and a heart for service. Over the course of 45 years, he has been actively involved in numerous boards and committees, contributing his time and leadership to respected organizations such as the Urban League of Portland, the NAACP Portland Branch, and AARP Oregon, among many others.

Brother Donald Hunter Sr.
He concluded a distinguished 31-year career with the City of Portland’s Parking Enforcement Division in February 2023, including 17 years in management. Throughout his career, he was known for his leadership, commitment to public service, and ability to guide teams with integrity and professionalism. Since retiring, he has embraced this new season of life with gratitude and enthusiasm, approaching each day with a renewed sense of purpose and appreciation.
Brother Donald is the 11th of 13 children—eight boys and five girls—raised in a deeply rooted Christian home that emphasized faith, service, and community. His father, a minister, founded the Neighborhood Church of God, leaving a lasting spiritual legacy that continues to influence his life and values.

Sister Rebekah Pontow
Sister Rebekah holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on addiction in the family and women’s rights, bringing a thoughtful and informed perspective to community wellness, mental health, and support services. She has several years of experience working within the social work system, where she developed a strong understanding of local resources, community needs, and systemic challenges. Her professional background also includes work in both special education and general education settings, reflecting a versatile ability to support diverse populations. She also brings three years of office administration experience from Rockwood Church of God, further strengthening her organizational and leadership skills.
